Possible Causes
Clogged spray arms, blocked filters, weak circulation pump, incorrect detergent or low rinse aid.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off and unplug the dishwasher before removing spray arms or internal components.
- Clean filters: Remove and thoroughly clean all filters under hot water.
- Clean spray arms: Remove upper and lower spray arms. Rinse under running water and use a toothpick to clear blocked jets.
- Check water temperature: Ensure the hot water supply (if connected) is at least 50–60°C, or that the heater is functioning (water should be hot mid-cycle).
- Use correct detergent: Use quality dishwasher tablets or powder and ensure the salt and rinse aid reservoirs are filled according to the CDA manual.
- Load correctly: Avoid blocking spray arms with large dishes and do not nest bowls so water cannot reach surfaces.
- If performance remains poor: The circulation pump may be weak or partially blocked and may require inspection or replacement.
