Possible Causes

Blocked or scaled flow meter, Faulty flow meter sensor, Air in rinse line, Wiring fault between flow meter and PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate power and water. Depressurise the rinse line by opening the machine drain or running a short cycle before disassembly.

  • Locate flow meter: Find the rinse water flow meter in the line feeding the boiler or rinse manifold (often a small plastic body with wires attached).
  • Clean or replace: Remove the flow meter and inspect for debris or limescale. Flush with clean water. If the turbine wheel is jammed or the sensor body is cracked, replace the unit.
  • Check wiring: Ensure the flow meter connector is firmly seated on the PCB and that the cable is not pinched or cut.
  • Bleed air from system: After reassembly, run several rinse cycles to purge air from the rinse line, which can interfere with flow measurement.
