Possible Causes
Household water pressure too high, Faulty or missing pressure reducer, Inlet valve not regulating correctly, Flow meter misreading high flow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the water and power before modifying any plumbing.
- 1. Check tap pressure: If water blasts from the kitchen tap, your household water pressure may exceed the dishwasher's recommended limit.
- 2. Install or adjust a pressure reducer: Install a pressure-reducing valve on the dishwasher's feed line if one is not already present, or adjust an existing one to the recommended 2–4 bar.
- 3. Partially close tap (temporary): As a short-term measure, slightly close the supply tap to reduce the water flow, then test the dishwasher.
- 4. Inspect inlet valve: If E17 persists despite normal pressure, the inlet valve may not be closing correctly and should be inspected.
When to call a technician: For permanent pressure regulation or valve replacement, professional service is advisable.
