Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the power at the circuit breaker and close the dishwasher water supply valve before working on the appliance.
- Check water supply: Verify the under-sink shutoff valve feeding the Fulgor Milano dishwasher is fully open. Confirm household water pressure is normal by opening a nearby faucet.
- Inspect Aquastop hose filter: Turn off the water supply, disconnect the inlet hose from the tap, and remove the small mesh filter inside the hose coupling. Rinse under running water to remove debris and scale, then reinstall.
- Check inlet valve at dishwasher: Remove the toe-kick panel, then locate the water inlet valve on the left or right underside. Inspect for kinks in the inlet hose and signs of leakage or burning. If the coil measures an open circuit with a multimeter, replace the valve assembly.
- Verify fill level: Start a cycle and listen: if you hear the valve hum but no water enters, suspect low pressure or a blocked hose. If no hum is heard, the valve coil or control board may be faulty.
- Flow meter / pressure switch: If water enters briefly then stops and E1 appears, the flow meter or pressure switch may not be sending pulses to the control. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors; replace the flow meter or pressure switch if damaged or open-circuit.
If E1 persists after these checks, contact an authorized Fulgor Milano service center for further diagnostics.
