Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the dishwasher from the mains power supply and close the water supply tap before working on it.
- Check water supply: Ensure the kitchen tap feeding the dishwasher is fully open and that other taps in the house have normal pressure.
- Clean inlet hose filter: Turn off the water supply, unscrew the inlet hose from the rear of the dishwasher and from the tap. Remove the small mesh filters from both ends and rinse them under running water. Refit them securely.
- Inspect inlet hose: Ensure the Gorenje AquaStop or standard inlet hose is not kinked, crushed, or frozen. Straighten or thaw it as needed.
- Test a short cycle: Restore the water supply and power, then run a quick program. If E1 reappears, the water inlet valve or flow meter may be faulty.
- Advanced check (for experienced users): Remove the left or bottom access panel to locate the water inlet valve assembly. Check the wiring harness and connector for corrosion or a loose fit. If the valve coil is open-circuit or the flow meter does not send pulses, replacement is necessary.
If you are not comfortable working with live water and electrical components, contact a qualified Gorenje service technician.
