Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor, Loose sensor connector, Damaged harness, Faulty control board temperature circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before accessing the sump or base.
- 1. Locate NTC sensor: Locate the Haier NTC sensor in the sump or base. Disconnect its connector.
- 2. Measure resistance: Use a multimeter to check its resistance at room temperature. Compare to specifications; a reading far outside the expected range indicates failure.
- 3. Inspect connector and wiring: Look for corrosion, moisture, or broken wires. Repair or replace as needed.
- 4. Replace NTC: If faulty, install a new sensor and ensure the seal is watertight.
- 5. Control board check: If a new sensor does not clear F8, the main PCB may be defective and require replacement.
Warning: Overheating can damage dishes and plastic components; do not bypass temperature sensing.
