Possible Causes

Door not fully latched, Child lock enabled on Hisense control panel, Faulty Start button or UI board, Door switch misalignment

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power if you need to open the door panel.

  • 1. Confirm door closure: Close the door firmly until you hear a click. Ensure racks are not protruding and blocking closure.
  • 2. Check child lock: Many Hisense dishwashers have a key or lock icon. Hold the designated button combination (see user manual) for several seconds to disable the child lock.
  • 3. Try different program: Select another cycle and press Start to rule out a specific program issue.
  • 4. Inspect door latch and switch: If the unit still will not start, remove the inner door panel and check the Hisense latch and switch for damage or misalignment. Replace if worn.
  • 5. UI board test: If the Start button does not register or feels unresponsive, the control panel may be faulty and require replacement.
