Possible Causes
Misaligned Hisense door latch, Worn or broken door lock mechanism, Faulty door switch, Loose wiring between door lock and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on the door assembly.
- 1. Check door closure: Ensure the dishwasher is level and not pushed too far back, which can prevent the door from latching fully. Adjust the leveling feet if needed.
- 2. Inspect the latch strike: Open the door and inspect the metal strike on the cabinet frame. Make sure it is not bent and that it aligns with the Hisense door latch.
- 3. Test the latch: Close the door firmly and listen for a positive click. If the door feels loose or does not click, the latch assembly may be worn.
- 4. Access the door lock: Remove the inner door panel screws to expose the latch and switch assembly. Check for broken plastic parts or a loose switch.
- 5. Electrical check: If qualified, test the door switch for continuity when the latch is engaged. Replace the Hisense door lock/switch assembly if it fails.
- 6. Reassemble and test: Refit the inner door panel, restore power, and start a cycle. If E10 persists, the control board input may be faulty and require replacement.
