Possible Causes

Empty rinse aid dispenser, Incorrect water hardness setting, Empty salt reservoir, Excessive detergent use

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: No internal electrical work is required for this issue; keep the door open only when the machine is off.

  • Check rinse aid: Open the rinse aid dispenser and refill if empty. Adjust the dosage setting according to the Ilve manual.
  • Refill salt: Open the salt cap in the tub bottom and fill with dishwasher salt. Wipe away any spilled salt.
  • Set water hardness: Adjust the water softener setting in the control menu to match your local water hardness (see Ilve manual).
  • Detergent amount: Use high-quality dishwasher detergent and avoid overfilling the dispenser. For soft water, reduce detergent quantity.
  • Run a cleaning cycle: Use a dishwasher cleaner on a hot program to remove existing scale and film.
