Possible Causes
Worn or split Maidaid door gasket, Debris on door sealing surface, Misaligned door or hinges, Overfilling due to level fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power. Water on the floor can be slippery; mop up spills promptly.
- Inspect door gasket: Open the door and examine the full perimeter of the Maidaid door seal for splits, flattening, or hardened rubber.
- Clean sealing surfaces: Wipe the gasket and mating surfaces with warm soapy water to remove grease and debris that can prevent a good seal.
- Check door alignment: Ensure the door closes evenly. Adjust hinges or cabinet position if the door is twisted or not square.
- Replace gasket if damaged: Pull out the old Maidaid door gasket from its channel and press in a new one, starting at the top centre and working evenly down both sides.
- Verify fill level: If water level is excessively high, investigate level control (pressure switch, inlet valve) as a contributing cause.
