Dishwasher does not fill with water; cycle stops shortly after start and E1 is displayed.

Safety first: Turn off the dishwasher via the main power switch and close the external water shutoff valve before working on the machine.

• Check water supply: Verify that the building’s water shutoff valve feeding the Meiko dishwasher is fully open and that there is adequate water pressure. Inspect any flexible hose for kinks.
• Clean inlet filter: At the machine’s water connection (usually at the rear or under the base), remove the inlet hose and pull out the small mesh filter screen. Rinse it under running water and remove scale or debris with a soft brush. Reinstall carefully.
• Inspect water inlet valve: With power off, access the base panel and locate the water inlet valve assembly. Check for visible damage, scale buildup, or leaks. If the coil is open (test with a multimeter) or the valve is stuck closed, replace the valve.
• Check flow meter / pressure sensor: Some Meiko models use a flow meter or pressure sensor in the fill line. Inspect wiring and connectors for corrosion or loose plugs. If the sensor is physically damaged or readings are erratic (requires service mode), it should be replaced.
• Reset and test: Restore water and power, then run a test cycle. If E1 reappears after confirming supply and cleaning filters, professional diagnosis of the control board and sensors is recommended.
