Possible Causes
Blocked pressure hose to water level sensor, Faulty Midea water level (pressure) sensor, Sticking water inlet valve, Control board misreading level signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker and turn off the water supply before opening panels.
- Inspect for overfill: Open the door. If the water level is above the filter screen, manually bail out excess water with a cup and sponge.
- Check pressure hose: Remove the lower kick panel. Locate the small rubber or clear hose running from the sump to the pressure sensor (usually mounted on the side frame). Ensure it is not kinked, blocked with grease, or disconnected. Detach and blow through it to clear any blockage.
- Examine water inlet valve: If the tub continues to fill even when the machine is off, the inlet valve is stuck open and must be replaced immediately.
- Reset and test: Reassemble, restore power and water, and run a short cycle. If E2 returns, the pressure sensor or main control board may be faulty.
- Professional help: Replacement of the pressure sensor or PCB on Midea dishwashers requires careful handling of wiring and seals; consider a technician if you are unsure.
