Possible Causes
Use of regular dish soap instead of dishwasher detergent, Excessive rinse aid dosage, Wrong type of detergent tablets
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the dishwasher if foam is escaping.
- Stop and drain: Cancel the program and allow the machine to drain. If necessary, scoop out foam and water manually.
- Rinse cycle with oil: Run a short rinse cycle with a tablespoon of cooking oil in the tub to break down the foam.
- Check detergent: Use only automatic dishwasher detergent and adjust the amount according to water hardness and load size.
- Adjust rinse aid: Reduce the rinse aid dosage setting on the dispenser if you see persistent foaming.
Once the foam is cleared and correct products are used, leaks from over-foaming should stop.
