Possible Causes

Loose ribbon cable between UI and main PCB, Faulty control panel PCB, Damaged encoder or buttons, Firmware communication error

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the dryer from mains before removing the control panel.

  • Reset the appliance: Leave the dryer unplugged for at least 5 minutes, then reconnect and try again. Sometimes E11 is cleared by a power reset.
  • Access the control panel: Remove the top cover and gently release the control panel clips. Carefully pull the panel forward.
  • Check ribbon cable: Inspect the flat ribbon cable or harness connecting the user interface to the main PCB. Ensure it is fully seated at both ends and not kinked or damaged.
  • Inspect buttons and knob: Check for stuck buttons or a jammed program selector knob. Clean around the buttons with a dry cloth; avoid liquid cleaners on the PCB.
  • Re-seat connectors: Disconnect and reconnect the UI connectors to refresh contacts.
  • Replace UI board if needed: If E11 persists and the cable is intact, the user interface PCB may be defective. Replace it with the correct Amica spare part.
