Heat pump dryer does not heat; E09 displayed

• Test basic power to inverter: Verify that the inverter module receives mains power when heating is requested (only if you are qualified to work on live circuits). If no power, suspect the main control board.
• Listen for compressor start: When starting a warm program, listen for the compressor. If it never starts and the inverter has power, the compressor or inverter may be defective.
• Professional service: If E09 persists after basic checks, the fault is likely within the sealed refrigerant system or inverter electronics. This requires a qualified refrigeration technician or Balay service to diagnose and replace the compressor or inverter module.
