Dryer displays E10 and may not start or may stop during a cycle; this is often linked to humidity sensing.

Possible Causes

Dirty or coated drum moisture sensor bars, Broken wire from sensor bars to control board, Faulty moisture sensing module on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal wiring. Cleaning the sensor bars can be performed with the power off and the door open.

Clean the sensor bars:

  • Locate the two metal strips inside the drum (usually near the lint filter opening).
  • Use a soft cloth and white vinegar or mild detergent to scrub off any waxy residue from fabric softeners.
  • Dry thoroughly.

Check wiring:

  • Remove the front panel (if required) to access the sensor bar connections.
  • Ensure the wires are firmly attached and are not broken.

Test: After cleaning and checking connections, run an automatic cycle. If E10 persists, the moisture sensing circuit on the control board may be faulty and require professional repair or replacement.
