Dryer displays E18 and may not start; sometimes associated with child lock or safety lock malfunction.

Safety first: For control resets you may leave the dryer plugged in, but do not open panels with power connected.

• Attempt to clear child lock: Refer to the user manual for the specific key combination (often holding two buttons for several seconds). Try toggling the child lock on and off.
• Power cycle: Turn off the dryer at the mains or unplug it for 5–10 minutes to reset the electronics. Reconnect and test.
• Check buttons: Ensure the buttons used for child lock are not stuck or damaged. Clean around them and press repeatedly to free any sticking.
• Inspect UI board (if persistent): If E18 remains, the user interface PCB or main PCB may be faulty. Visual inspection for damage and replacement of the affected board may be required by a technician.
