GE dryer drum light does not turn on when the door is opened.

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before replacing the bulb.

Check bulb and switch:

• Remove the drum light lens and bulb; inspect the filament and replace with the correct GE-rated bulb if burned out.
• If the new bulb does not light, test the door switch for continuity when open/closed and replace if faulty.
• Inspect the light socket and wiring for loose connections.
