Possible Causes
Defective drum NTC sensor, Loose or corroded NTC connector, Damaged wiring harness to sensor, Faulty control board input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Locate drum NTC: On some Gorenje models, a secondary NTC is mounted near the front of the drum or on the air duct.
- Check connector: Ensure the sensor plug is firmly connected and free of corrosion.
- Measure resistance: Remove the sensor connector and measure resistance at room temperature. Compare with specifications (often similar to the main NTC). Replace if open, shorted, or far out of range.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the harness back to the control board, checking for damage or pinched wires.
- Control board: If a known-good sensor and wiring still produce E14, the control PCB may be defective and require professional replacement.
