Possible Causes

Loose connection between user interface board and main PCB, Faulty control panel (buttons/encoder), Damaged communication cable, Defective main control module

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the control panel.

  • Reset the dryer: Leave the dryer unplugged for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect and test. Sometimes transient faults clear with a reset.
  • Access control panel: Remove the top cover, then unscrew and gently pull out the control panel assembly.
  • Check ribbon cables and connectors: Ensure all plugs between the display/user interface and the main PCB are fully seated and free of corrosion or damage.
  • Inspect for moisture or spills: Look for signs of liquid ingress on the control panel. If present, dry thoroughly and clean with isopropyl alcohol.
  • Test buttons/knob: If certain keys do not respond, the user interface board may be faulty and require replacement.
  • Persistent E9: If wiring and UI board are good, the main control module may need replacement by a technician.
