Indesit
Restricted Airflow or Moisture Sensing Inefficiency
Indesit dryer takes too long to dry or requires multiple cycles to dry a normal load

Possible Causes
Clogged lint filter, blocked condenser or heat exchanger, obstructed exhaust duct, dirty moisture sensor bars
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the dryer before cleaning internal components.
Improve airflow and sensing:
- Clean lint filter: Remove and wash the filter with warm soapy water to remove fabric softener residue. Dry thoroughly before refitting.
- Clean condenser/heat exchanger: If your Indesit is a condenser or heat pump model, remove the condenser and rinse it under running water to clear lint from the fins.
- Check exhaust duct: For vented models, disconnect the vent hose and clean out lint and debris. Ensure the hose is not crushed or excessively long.
- Clean moisture sensor bars: Inside the drum, locate the two metal strips (usually near the door). Clean them with a cloth and white vinegar to remove residue that can affect sensing.
Load and program: Avoid overloading the drum and select an appropriate dryness level. After cleaning, run a test load to confirm improved drying time.
