The dryer drum light does not turn on when the door is opened, but the dryer otherwise works.

Safety first: Unplug the dryer.

Steps:

• Replace bulb: Remove the drum light cover, unscrew the bulb, and replace it with the correct type and wattage specified by LG.
• Check socket: Inspect for corrosion or loose connections; repair or replace the socket if needed.
• Door switch: If the light still does not work, the door switch light contacts may be faulty; replace the door switch.
