Moisture Sensor Not Detecting Properly
Dryer runs but clothes remain damp at the end of an automatic (sensor) cycle; timed dry works normally.

Possible Causes
Residue on moisture sensor bars, Broken moisture sensor wiring, Failed moisture sensor assembly, Poor drum grounding
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing internal wiring.
- Clean sensor bars: Locate the metal moisture sensor bars inside the drum and clean them with rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth to remove any film.
- Avoid dryer sheets: Reduce or eliminate dryer sheet use for a few loads to prevent new residue from forming on the sensors.
- Check wiring: Access the back of the sensor bars from inside the cabinet and ensure the wires are securely attached and not broken.
- Test in timed dry: If the dryer heats and dries normally in timed dry but not in sensor cycles, replace the moisture sensor assembly if cleaning does not help.
