Dryer displays dO or do; unit beeps and will not start; door is detected as open even when closed.

Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before working on the dryer.

• Verify alignment: Gently lift or push the door to see if hinges are loose or sagging. Tighten hinge screws if needed.
• Inspect door switch actuator: Ensure the door strike fully presses the switch lever or button when closed.
• Access switch: Remove the top/front panel to reach the door switch. Reseat the connector and check for corrosion or loose pins.
• Test and replace: Use a multimeter to test the switch. Replace the Samsung door switch if it does not change state when actuated.
