Siemens Foreign Object in Drum or Fan

Dryer emits unusual rattling or metallic noises.

Possible Causes

Coins or small metal items in the drum, objects trapped in drum baffles, debris in the blower fan, loose screws or components.

Safety first: Turn off and unplug the dryer before inspection.

Inspect drum interior: Check inside the drum and around the door seal for coins, buttons, or other objects.
Check baffles: Look inside the drum baffles (lifters) for trapped items. Remove screws to access if necessary.
Inspect blower fan: Remove the rear or side panel to access the blower housing. Remove any debris from the fan blades.
Tighten loose parts: Check for loose screws, brackets, or panels and tighten them.
