Possible Causes
Clogged lint filter, Blocked condenser unit, Dirty heat exchanger on heat pump models, Blocked exhaust duct (vented Siemens dryers).
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off and unplug the dryer before internal cleaning.
- Clean all lint filters: Remove the main lint filter and any additional Siemens fine filters. Wash with warm water, dry thoroughly, and reinstall.
- Clean condenser: On condenser and heat pump models, open the condenser flap, remove the condenser, and rinse it from the back with warm water until clear. Let it drain before refitting.
- Check exhaust duct (vented models): Detach the hose and clear lint build-up. Inspect the wall vent and external flap for obstructions.
- Ensure proper loading: Avoid overloading the drum; leave space for air circulation. Mix heavy and light fabrics for more even drying.
- Room conditions: Ensure the room is not extremely cold or poorly ventilated, as this reduces condenser efficiency.
