Door will not close fully or latch properly.

Safety first: Ensure the smoker is cool before adjusting the door or hinges.

• Inspect hinges: Check for bent or loose hinges. Tighten hinge screws and gently bend the door back into alignment if slightly out of square.
• Adjust latch: If the Char‑Broil latch is adjustable, move the striker plate or latch hook slightly to increase or decrease tension.
• Check gasket: If the gasket is swollen or out of place, reseat it or replace with a new OEM gasket.
• Replace door if severely warped: If alignment cannot be restored, a replacement door assembly may be required.
