Possible Causes
Loose metal panels vibrating, Heating element mounting bracket loose, Control transformer humming, Smoker not level on the surface
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the smoker before tightening screws or brackets.
- Level the smoker: Use a level to ensure the smoker sits flat. Adjust feet or move to a stable surface.
- Tighten panels: Check all exterior and interior screws, especially around the heating element and control housing. Tighten as needed.
- Isolate vibration points: Gently press on different areas of the cabinet while the unit is running (use caution) to identify vibrating panels. Add high-temperature pads or adjust the fit to reduce noise.
- Transformer hum: A low-level hum from the control transformer can be normal. If it becomes loud or is accompanied by a burning smell, the control board may need replacement.
