Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between the keypad and display PCB, damaged touch panel, liquid ingress into the control panel, faulty display PCB.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the smoker before opening the control panel.
- Inspect control panel: Check for cracks or signs of liquid spills on the keypad area. Wipe the surface dry.
- Reseat ribbon cable: Remove the control bezel to access the keypad ribbon cable. Carefully unplug and reinsert the cable into the display or main PCB, ensuring it is fully seated and straight.
- Drying: If liquid entered the panel, allow it to dry completely for 24 hours before reassembly. Do not use high heat directly on the panel.
- Test keys: After reassembly, plug in and test each button. If some or all keys remain unresponsive and E12 persists, the keypad membrane or display PCB likely needs replacement.
