ABL
No Charge Start Without Visible Error
Vehicle plugged in, but charging does not start; no error code is shown, and LEDs remain steady or show a ‘ready’ state.

Possible Causes
EV’s charging timer or schedule active, maximum current on ABL charger set too low, access control (RFID/app) not completed, control pilot not reaching EV due to minor contact issue.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
User checks:
- Check vehicle settings: Ensure no delayed charging schedule is active in the EV. Set the car to ‘charge immediately’ and retry.
- Authenticate if required: If your ABL charger uses RFID or app authorization, present a valid card or start the session in the app.
- Verify current limit: In the ABL app or via DIP switches, confirm that the maximum current is not set below the EV’s minimum requirement (often 6–8 A).
- Reconnect plug: Unplug and firmly reinsert the Type 2 connector until it clicks. Wait 30–60 seconds to see if charging starts.
If the charger remains in a ‘ready’ state with multiple vehicles and cables, have an installer check the control pilot circuit and configuration.
