Possible Causes
Incorrect access control mode (RFID/app required), Scheduled charging enabled with a future start time, Weak contact in the Type 2 connector, Pilot signal level marginal but not failing hard.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not modify wiring without isolating power.
- Check user settings: Verify in the Garo app or display that immediate charging is enabled and that no schedule is blocking its start.
- Access control: If RFID is enabled, present an authorized tag. If app control is enabled, start the session from the app.
- Reconnect cable: Unplug the cable from both the vehicle and charger, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect firmly until you hear the lock engage.
- Try another vehicle/cable: This helps determine whether the issue is with the charger or the EV/cable.
- Inspect connector: Look for dirt or oxidation on the pins and clean gently with a dry brush.
