Possible Causes
Tripped upstream breaker or RCD, No mains voltage at charger terminals, Blown internal fuse on power board, Failed internal auxiliary power supply
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Work on mains circuits only if you are qualified. Always verify absence of voltage before touching conductors.
- Check upstream protection: Verify that the dedicated breaker and RCD/RCBO feeding the go-e Charger are ON and not tripped. Reset if necessary.
- Measure input voltage: At the charger’s supply terminals, confirm that correct voltage is present. If not, trace back through the installation to find the open circuit.
- Inspect internal fuse: With power off, open the charger and locate any internal fuses on the power board. Test continuity and replace with the exact same type and rating if blown.
- Look for visible damage: Check for burnt components, cracked PCBs, or strong burnt smell. If present, the power board is likely beyond simple repair and should be replaced.
- Board replacement: If input voltage and fuse are good but the unit remains dead, replace the power/control board assembly according to go-e service instructions.
