Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between the control board and power board, oxidized low-voltage connectors, firmware mismatch between modules after an update, defective control board microcontroller.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect mains power and wait several minutes for capacitors to discharge before opening the unit.
- Inspect internal connectors: Open the go-e Charger housing and locate the low-voltage harnesses and ribbon cables between boards. Reseat each connector firmly.
- Check for corrosion: Look for green/white oxidation on pins. Clean gently with contact cleaner and a soft brush, then reconnect.
- Firmware consistency: Using the go-e app, check firmware versions. If an update was interrupted, perform a full firmware update again following manufacturer instructions.
- Power cycle: After reseating connectors, restore power and perform a full power cycle (off for 30–60 seconds, then on) to reset internal communication.
- Replace faulty board: If the error persists, the control board or power board may be defective. Replace the suspect module as a complete assembly.
