Possible Causes
Loose wall anchors or mounting screws, Mounting to drywall without proper backing, Vibration from repeated connector insertion, Incorrect hardware used
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power at the breaker before tightening any screws that might contact internal wiring.
Steps:
- 1. Check mounting hardware: Verify that all exterior mounting screws are present and tight.
- 2. Inspect wall structure: Ensure the EVSE is mounted to a solid stud or masonry, not just drywall. Add appropriate anchors or backing if needed.
- 3. Tighten internal brackets (qualified person): With the cover removed and power OFF, tighten any internal brackets securing the EVSE chassis to the mounting plate.
- 4. Replace damaged hardware: Use Leviton-specified mounting kits or equivalent rated hardware.
