Possible Causes
Welded or stuck power contactor contacts, Faulty relay drive circuit on main PCB, Incorrect feedback wiring from contactor auxiliary contacts, Mechanical obstruction in contactor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: A stuck contactor can leave the output live unexpectedly. Do not open the unit while energized.
- Power down: Turn off the charger breaker and verify that the unit is fully de-energized.
- Internal inspection (technician): Remove the cover and locate the main power contactor/relay block. Check for signs of overheating, discoloration, or melted plastic.
- Manual operation test (if allowed): Some contactors have a manual test button. With power OFF, gently operate it to see if the mechanism moves freely. Do not force it.
- Check auxiliary feedback wiring: Verify that the auxiliary contacts (feedback to PCB) are correctly wired and secure.
- Replace contactor: If contacts are welded or the mechanism is stiff, replace the contactor with a Mini-approved part. Also inspect the main PCB relay driver circuit for damage.
After replacement, reassemble, restore power, and confirm that E09 is cleared and that the contactor operates normally.
