Possible Causes

Open ground in supply circuit, Loose ground terminal inside Primecom charger input block, Corroded ground connection in plug, Faulty extension cord or adapter without ground

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: A missing ground is a serious shock hazard. Do not use the charger until the ground is restored and verified.

  • 1. Remove adapters and extension cords: Plug the charger directly into a properly grounded outlet. Primecom chargers are not designed to be used with ungrounded adapters.
  • 2. Test the outlet: Use a 3-light outlet tester or have an electrician verify that hot, neutral, and ground are correctly wired and that ground impedance is low.
  • 3. Inspect plug and cord (plug-in models): Look for burned, loose, or bent ground prongs. If the ground pin is damaged, replace the plug or the entire input cord assembly.
  • 4. Check internal ground terminal (hardwired models): With power off at the breaker, remove the wiring cover and verify that the ground conductor is securely clamped in the ground terminal block and bonded to the chassis.
  • 5. Retest: After correcting any wiring issues, restore power and check if E03 clears. If the error persists with a verified good ground, the internal ground-sensing circuit on the control board may be defective and require replacement.
