Possible Causes
One leg (L1 or L2) open at breaker or panel, Loose conductor at charger terminal block, Failed internal fuse or thermal link on one line, Utility supply issue on one phase
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: This is a mains wiring issue. If you are not trained, call an electrician.
- Step 1 – Breaker inspection: Confirm the double-pole breaker handle is not partially tripped. Reset it fully OFF then ON.
- Step 2 – Panel wiring: With breaker OFF, remove panel cover and verify both legs of the breaker are connected to hot bus bars and that both conductors are firmly attached.
- Step 3 – Charger terminal block: With power OFF and charger cover removed, check that both L1 and L2 conductors are secure in the terminal block and show no signs of overheating.
- Step 4 – Voltage test: A qualified person should measure L1–L2 at the charger input; if one leg is missing or significantly low, contact the utility or replace the breaker.
If wiring and supply are correct, an internal line-sensing circuit or fuse may have failed and the charger will need professional service.
