Door Ajar Detection Fault
The door-ajar indicator or the letter “d” appears on the Gladiator freezer display, and an alarm sounds even when the door appears closed.

Possible Causes
Door not fully closed due to product blocking, misaligned door hinges, faulty door switch, or a damaged or deformed door gasket.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Do not slam the door; glass containers inside may break. Unplug the unit before electrically testing the door switch.
- Step 1 – Check for obstructions: Inspect shelves, baskets, and tall items that may be preventing the door from closing fully. Rearrange contents so the door closes freely.
- Step 2 – Inspect gasket and alignment: Look for gaps between the door gasket and the cabinet. If the door is sagging, adjust the door hinges by slightly loosening the hinge screws, lifting the door, and retightening.
- Step 3 – Test door switch: Locate the door switch (usually at the top or side of the liner). Press it in by hand; the interior light should turn off, and the alarm should stop after a few seconds. If not, the switch may be defective.
- Step 4 – Replace door switch if needed: Unplug the freezer, gently pry the switch out, disconnect the wires, and install a new Gladiator-compatible door switch, reconnecting wires to the same terminals.
