Door left open too long, Door switch not detecting closure, High temperature after a power outage, Failed door switch or wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Check food temperature to ensure it remains safe to consume if the alarm has been active for a long period.
Steps to resolve AL (alarm):
- 1. Confirm door closure: Ensure the Leisure freezer door is fully closed and that shelves or baskets are not obstructing the seal.
- 2. Silence alarm: Use the alarm reset or mute button on the control panel to silence the buzzer while you investigate.
- 3. Check door switch: Locate the door switch (usually in the frame or near the top). Press it manually; the interior light should turn off, and the display may change. If nothing happens, the switch may be faulty.
- 4. Inspect and replace door switch: Remove the switch, check for broken wires, and test continuity with a multimeter. Replace with a compatible Leisure door switch if defective.
- 5. High temperature cause: If the alarm is due to high temperature (often indicated by a flashing temperature display), verify that the compressor is running and that the door has not been left open. Allow time for recovery.
- 6. Reset alarm: Once the temperature returns to normal, the alarm should clear automatically. If it does not, check the cabinet sensor as described under E1.
