Long Run Time / Poor Efficiency
Freezer runs continuously and rarely shuts off, even when the interior seems cold enough.

Possible Causes
Door gasket leaking, Warm room or poor ventilation, Dirty condenser coils, Internal insulation deterioration or door not closing properly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before cleaning or adjusting components.
- Check door closure and gasket: Ensure the door closes fully and the door gasket makes full contact. Replace if cracked or deformed.
- Improve ventilation: Move the freezer away from walls to allow airflow around the condenser. Avoid enclosing it in tight cabinets.
- Clean condenser: Brush and vacuum the condenser coils to improve heat dissipation.
- Check for internal obstructions: Avoid blocking air vents inside the freezer with boxes or bags, which can cause uneven cooling and long run times.
Note: Some run time increase is normal in hot weather or after loading warm food. If the compressor still runs almost constantly after these checks, a technician should evaluate system efficiency.
