Possible Causes

Worn or damaged keypad, moisture behind the control fascia, loose ribbon cable to the display PCB, faulty display PCB.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the freezer before removing the control panel.

  • Dry control area: If condensation or spills have reached the control panel, gently dry the area and allow several hours before retesting.
  • Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the fascia and check the flat cable between the keypad and PCB. Reseat it firmly.
  • Check for cracks: Look for physical damage to the keypad overlay. If cracked or worn, replace the fascia/keypad assembly.

If buttons remain unresponsive, the display PCB is likely faulty and should be replaced with a Montpellier-compatible board.
