11
The furnace does not respond to the thermostat; the LED shows code 11 (no previous code / no fault stored) but no heat.
No Call for Heat or Control Board Not Receiving Signal
12
The furnace LED shows code 12 (blower on after power up) and the blower may run briefly; the furnace may not start heating immediately.
Normal Power-Up or Blower Delay Indication
13
The furnace locks out with LED code 13 (limit circuit lockout) after repeated limit trips; the blower may run continuously.
Repeated High Limit Trip Lockout
14
The furnace lights briefly then shuts off; the LED shows code 14 (ignition lockout).
Ignition Lockout After Failed Attempts
21
The furnace LED shows code 21; the unit may not start or may behave erratically.
Gas Heating Lockout or Control Fault (Model-Dependent)
22
Furnace LED shows code 22; the blower may run unexpectedly or not at all.
Blower Motor Fault or Lockout (Model-Dependent)
23
Furnace LED shows code 23; the unit may not respond correctly to the thermostat or may short-cycle.
Pressure Switch or Airflow Fault (Alternate Code Set)
24
Furnace LED shows code 24; the thermostat may not control the furnace properly.
Secondary Voltage Fuse Open or 24V Short
31
The furnace will not ignite; the inducer may run briefly or not at all; the LED flashes code 31 (pressure switch open or failed to close).
Pressure Switch Failed to Close
31 (Alt)
On some Keeprite models, code 31 indicates the pressure switch is open during operation; the furnace may shut off mid-cycle.
Loss of Draft During Operation
32
The furnace attempts to start but shuts down; the LED shows code 32 (pressure switch stuck closed).
Pressure Switch Stuck Closed
32 (Alt)
On some Keeprite models, code 32 indicates a low-heat or high-heat pressure switch fault on two-stage units.
Stage-Specific Pressure Switch Fault
33
The furnace starts, the inducer and burner run briefly, then it shuts down and the blower runs continuously; the status LED shows code 33 (limit circuit fault).
Open High Limit or Rollout Switch Lockout
33 (Alt)
On some Keeprite models, code 33 may indicate the flame rollout switch is open; burners shut off quickly after ignition.
Flame Rollout Condition
34
The furnace attempts to light but the burners do not ignite; the LED shows code 34 (ignition proving failure).
Ignition Failure / No Flame Sensed
41
Furnace LED shows code 41; the blower may run at an incorrect speed or not at all.
Blower Motor Speed or Fault (ECM Error)
42
Furnace LED shows code 42; the inducer or blower may not respond correctly.
Inducer or Blower Fault (Communication or Relay Error)
43
Furnace LED shows code 43; the unit may not modulate or stage correctly.
Gas Valve or Modulation Fault
44
Furnace LED shows code 44; the unit may shut down unexpectedly or not start.
Secondary Limit or Condensate Overflow Fault
45
Furnace LED shows code 45; the furnace may lock out and require a power reset.
Control Board Internal Fault or Lockout
Symptom
Cold air blows from vents when the furnace runs, or air is only slightly warm.
No Heat / Lukewarm Air
Symptom
Furnace frequently trips the household circuit breaker.
Electrical Overload or Short Circuit
Symptom
Furnace inducer runs but shuts off before ignition; this repeats without heat.
Failed Pre-Purge / Safety Not Proving
Symptom
Furnace is very noisy during operation: rattling, squealing, or grinding sounds.
Mechanical Noise / Vibration
Symptom
Furnace runs but some rooms are too hot while others are too cold.
Uneven Heating / Air Distribution Problem
Symptom
Furnace shuts off on very cold or very windy days but runs normally in mild weather.
Weather-Related Venting or Combustion Issue
Symptom
Furnace starts and stops repeatedly within seconds, never completing a full ignition sequence.
Rapid Cycling / Control Interruption
Symptom
Furnace vibrates excessively and can be felt throughout the house.
Excessive Vibration
Symptom
Strong chemical or burning smell when the furnace runs.
Overheating or Contaminant Burn-Off
Symptom
The furnace burners light but shut off after a few seconds; this repeats several times before lockout.
Flame Sensing Failure
Symptom
The furnace makes a loud banging or booming noise at startup when the burners ignite.
Delayed Ignition
Symptom
The furnace runs but produces insufficient heat; the home never reaches the set temperature.
Underheating / Low Capacity Output
Symptom
The furnace runs the inducer and ignitor, but the burners never light; you may smell a faint gas odor near the furnace.
Gas Valve Not Opening
Symptom
The furnace short cycles: it starts, runs for a few minutes, shuts off, then restarts frequently.
Short Cycling
Symptom
The furnace will not start at all; no blower, no inducer, and no LED lights on the Keeprite control board.
No Power to Furnace
Symptom
The indoor blower runs continuously even when the thermostat is not calling for heat or fan.
Blower Stuck On
Symptom
The thermostat is calling for heat, but the furnace does not respond; the LED on the furnace is on and shows no fault code.
No Response to Heat Call
Symptom
Water leaking from the base of the Keeprite furnace or from PVC vent connections.
Condensate Leak
