Nibe
Short cycling or poor control tuning
Furnace frequently starts and stops (short cycling); room temperature is unstable.

Possible Causes
Oversized furnace/heat pump, incorrect thermostat placement, too narrow hysteresis settings, or small water volume in the system.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Adjust only user-accessible settings unless you are a qualified installer.
- Check thermostat location: Ensure the room sensor or thermostat is not exposed to drafts, direct sunlight, or heat sources.
- Increase hysteresis: In the Nibe control menu, increase the temperature differential (hysteresis) so the unit runs longer per cycle.
- Enable buffer tank: If a buffer tank is installed but bypassed, ensure it is correctly integrated to increase system volume.
- Open more emitters: Open additional radiators or loops to increase load and reduce cycling.
Persistent short cycling may require system redesign by an installer.
