Possible Causes

Dirty photocell lenses, Slight misalignment due to vibration, Sunlight interference on receiver, Loose photocell bracket

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Keep clear of the door while testing. Do not disable safety beams for normal use.

  • Clean lenses: Gently wipe the Garador photocell lenses with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and cobwebs.
  • Check alignment: Ensure both photocell heads are at the same height and directly facing each other. Tighten the mounting screws.
  • Shield from sunlight: If direct sun hits the receiver, fit the supplied sun shield or create a small shade using a non-reflective cover that does not obstruct the beam.
  • Test operation: Close the door and wave your hand through the beam. The door should reverse. If it still reverses immediately with a clear beam, recheck wiring or replace the photocell kit.
