The disposal occasionally jams when not used for several weeks.

Safety first: Turn OFF power before freeing a jam.

• Manual freeing: Use the Evergrind hex wrench to work the turntable back and forth until it moves freely.
• Clean with ice: Run cold water and grind a tray of ice cubes to help remove surface rust and residue.
• Regular exercise: Run the Evergrind unit with water for 15–30 seconds at least once a week to prevent sticking.
• Descale if needed: Periodically flush with a vinegar solution to reduce mineral buildup (do not leave strong acids sitting in the unit for long periods).
