How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the wall switch is OFF before working under the sink.
- Check reset button:
- Press the red reset button on the bottom of the Moen disposal until it clicks.
- Verify outlet and breaker:
- Check the under-sink outlet with another appliance.
- Reset any tripped GFCI outlets.
- Reset the circuit breaker by switching it fully OFF then ON.
- Test operation:
- Run water and flip the wall switch.
- If still dead:
- The power surge may have damaged the motor assembly. Replacement of the disposal is recommended.
