Display shows OHt or OHT and spa shuts down heater and pumps intermittently

Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker. Overheating components can be a fire risk.

OHt indicates overheating near the heater or control pack, not just in the water.

• Inspect equipment bay ventilation: Ensure the access panel vents are not blocked and that insulation or debris is not packed around the control pack.
• Check for continuous heating: After cooling and restoring power, monitor whether the heater indicator stays on even when set temperature is reached. If so, the heater relay may be stuck closed.
• Look for discoloration: Examine the control board and heater terminals for burnt spots or melted insulation.
• Reduce load: In very hot climates, provide additional ventilation to the equipment bay and avoid running all pumps and heater simultaneously for long periods.

Because OHt can indicate failing relays or wiring, have a spa technician inspect and repair before continued use.
