The spa cover is excessively heavy and waterlogged, making it difficult to open and close.

Safety: Use proper lifting technique or a helper; waterlogged covers are very heavy.

• Inspect cover: Look for tears, cracks, or seam failures that allow water to enter.
• Dry temporarily: You can temporarily dry the cover in a warm, dry area, but once the foam is saturated it rarely recovers fully.
• Replace cover: Order a new Artesian-compatible insulated cover with proper taper and skirt length.

A heavy cover can stress lifters and cabinet, and provides poor insulation; replacement is the long-term solution.
