Moisture in control pack, Loose low-voltage connections, Failing topside keypad, Control board microcracks
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before opening the control pack.
- 1. Inspect for moisture: Open the equipment bay and control pack cover. Look for condensation or water inside. Dry thoroughly and correct any leaks.
- 2. Reseat connectors: Gently unplug and replug low-voltage connectors (sensors, keypad) on the Coleman control board.
- 3. Check keypad: If random button presses seem to occur, the topside keypad membrane may be shorting. Replace the keypad.
- 4. Board inspection: Look for cracked solder joints or burned areas on the control board. Intermittent faults often require board replacement.
