Freeflow Spas Overcurrent Under Combined Load

The Freeflow spa trips the house breaker only when the jets and heater run together.

Possible Causes

Undersized breaker or wiring, Incorrect 120V/240V configuration, Pump drawing excessive current, Heater and pump on same leg exceeding rating

Safety first: Only a qualified electrician should modify breakers or wiring.

1. Confirm breaker size: Check that the spa is on the breaker size specified on the Freeflow rating label.
2. Avoid overloading: Temporarily lower the set temperature or avoid running jets on high continuously until the issue is resolved.
3. Have current draw tested: A technician can measure the pump and heater current to identify an overloading component.

Do not simply install a larger breaker without verifying the wire size and spa specifications.
